Indianapolis, IN (November 17, 2015) –

Timothy Erickson, CAA, Athletic Director at Ottawa Hills Local Schools, was be presented the 2015 State Award of Merit by the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (OIAAA), during the state conference for athletic administrators at the Hilton Easton, in Columbus, Ohio on November 15, 2015. This award is provided annually by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), for recognition of meritorious dedication to High School and Middle School Athletics.

 

Timothy received his bachelor’s degree at Iowa State University and his Master’s at Ohio University and has been a member of the NIAAA for the past 14 years.  During his time at Ottawa he hosted Tennis, Baseball, Soccer, Ice Hockey and Track Conference Championships along with OHSAA Tournaments since 1993.   He was the lead for rebuilding the football stadium and the track and gymnasium.  He was also instrumental in of the installing synthetic turf for the stadium.

 

Timothy is the Toledo Area Athletic Conference President until 2017. He has been a NWOIAAA Board Member since 2009, has been the OIAAA President, President Elect, Secretary, Board District Representative, Conference Panning Committee and the NIAAA representative to NATA Preventing Sudden Death in High School Athletes.

Erickson won the Award of Excellence from OIAAA/OHSAA in 2015.
