Booster Clubs
In the current school culture, ancillary options to fund various school activities are not only considerations, but many times critical to a school being able to offer extra-curricular opportunities for students. As extensions of the school, support and “booster” type organizations must meet not only legal requirements, but must also parallel the objectives for such support. There are a wide range of Booster Club options for schools to consider. The athletic administrator must not only be aware of organizational variances that Booster Clubs may decide upon, but must also be aware of the legal and auditing considerations in the oversight of such support groups.
